:Doraemon is a robotic cat sent from the future by Nobita, his great-great-grandson, to help Nobita improve, which would also improve the circumstances of Nobita's descendants later on. In the present, Nobita is a boy who constantly fails at school, and later fails at work, plunging his family and future generations into debt. The stories in Doraemon usually follow a common formula: they revolve around the troubles that befall Nobita, a fourth-grade boy and the second main character of the series. Doraemon has a magical pouch on his stomach containing all sorts of futuristic gadgets. The most common plot involves Nobita returning home crying about the troubles he encountered at school or with his friends. After being begged or urged by the boy, Doraemon will produce a gadget to help Nobita solve his troubles, either to get revenge or to show off to his friends. Nobita will often go far beyond Doraemon's original intentions, and even with new gadgets, he gets into bigger trouble than before. Sometimes Nobita's friends (usually Suneo or Gian) steal the gadgets and misuse them. However, usually at the end of each story, those who misused the gadgets suffer the consequences of their actions, and the reader learns a moral lesson from it.Other name: Doraemon
